J. Paul and bell are listed on the Google website.

"The Case of The Missing Egg" is printed by BookMasters, Inc. and distributed by Atlas Books.

During Christmas, "The Case of The Missing Egg" is donated to worthy causes.  Santa in Mount Vernon, OH will receive a few of the Madame plush toys to give to little ones who visit Santa on S. Main Street.

More books are donated to silent auctions; one such auction is to raise money for The American Cancer Society.

One of our grandsons read The Case of The Missing Egg and gave a talk about it to his classmates for ‘Show & Tell.’ The teacher was impressed and stated she had never heard of this book and asked to see it.  Grandson said that his grandma and grandpa had written and illustrated this book.  She asked if she could buy one of the books.

This book, The Case of The Missing Egg, was sold to a couple who have grandchildren.  They purchased two books for gifts.   The customer writes, “Thanks for sending the books so fast.  I’m undecided if these are birthday or Christmas gifts, but I know (the grandchildren) will enjoy them.  Thanks, also, for the tattoos – they will love them!  P.S.  My grandson enjoyed his visit around Misty Meadows.  He still talks about the deer.”  The grandparents had asked if they could bring their visiting grandson out to Misty Meadows and let him see some ‘country life.’  He lives in an area of California where he never gets to see animals in the rough.  The little boy, his parents and grandparents toured the meadows on foot.  We told them that some of the critters are not seen until early morning or at dusk when they come out to feed; but, they may see deer because they do roam freely or rest about the meadows at all hours.

A lady from Danville, OH purchased The Case of The Missing Egg.  She wrote, “What a delightful book!  I can’t wait to read it to our granddaughter.”  Thank you to the lady from Danville!

"Where did you get ideas for this book?  Are you planning another real soon?”  Another customer asked.  We responded that we live on the Preserve at Misty Meadows, and often take walks or golf cart or tractor drives through the woods, watching the various critters.  The actual critters roam freely about the small estate.    As for another book, yes, J. Paul has at least two more books in mental process and his artist wife, Bell, is eagerly waiting to illustrate those books.

A customer asked, “Madame is so cute with her red hat.  How did you come up with the idea to put a red hat on Madame?”  We responded with “One evening, walking through the meadows, we saw a rather large skunk.  J. Paul immediately named the skunk, Madame de le Odeur (Lady of the Odor).  The illustrator wanted to give Madame a unique, classy, French look and that is how the broad-brimmed red hat was created for Madame.  It also helped that Bell was once a Red Hat Lady and loves red hats.

"…I want a copy of the book because it is very clever, and I’ve never known a real author!  Please sign my book.”

“…This is a great book for young children!  I want three to give as gifts.”

"The Case of The Missing Egg" mystery book for children, ages 4-8, is displayed by friend Tara Hoeflich at the B&O Depot located in Mount Vernon, OH.  The Depot is the venue of The Knox County Art League which J. Paul and Bell Kousoulas are sponsors.  On this auspicious evening, the featured artists, Tonia Osborn and Spencer Hoeflich, were busy inside the Depot with their Opening Reception.  While outside, the art league's annual Oktoberfest was in full swing with German food and beer served by art league members and sponsors.  A lot of laughter and dancing added to the festive atmosphere, and the young children sported Madame de la Odeur tattoos.  Author, J. Paul and illustrator, Bell, enjoyed being a part of this jolly evening.  It was a privilege to showcase their new book in the company of two very accomplished Artists, Tonia and Spencer.  8 October 2008

B & O Depot, Mt. Vernon Ohio Lit FestThe Knox County Art League hosted their first Lit Festival at their venue, B&O Depot, Mount Vernon, OH on 12 July 2008. The Lit Festival was under the direction of the Literary Chair person, Mark Jordan and his assistants, Sarah Pillow and Bill Tiffany.

J. Paul and Marilyn Kousoulas, art league members, celebrated the advent of J. Paul's new children's book, The Case of The Missing Egg." J. Paul and Marilyn autographed books and talked with every interested person. Critter note cards, prints and lots of Madame tattoos were part of the table decorations along with the new children's book. Adults as well as children had Madame tattoos placed on their arms or hands. It was a very fun adventure for everyone. There were many authors, publishers and bookshops represented in the Depot's newly renovated 'waiting room.' Some received Madame tattoos as well as visitors. The Gambier Deli from Gambier, OH beautifully and deliciously catered the event and music was provided by two talented artists. An Open Mic session by Sarah Pillow and many of the authors added still another dimension to the Lit Festival.
